I am currently a pastor at First United Methodist Church of Normal, IL. I feel called to a ministry of teaching and preaching and find great fulfillment in acting out my faith through my ministry as a pastor in a local chuch.
One of the most surprising things that I have yet learned, was how to be loved. I lived so many years as a bachelor and with just a few friends (I have always had a hard time letting people get too close), I never imagined finding a relationship that would fuel my spirit the way my marriage has. My wife, Carrie, is one of the strongest people that I know. You'd better believe that she has a fierce spirit, when needed. Yet, she is deeply caring and shows an abiding love for the people around her. I don't know how it came to be, but Carrie came into my life just as I had given up on love. Carrie has surprised me, challenged me, and loved me through three great years together and, so far, our love is only growing.
I hope that you'll check in on our shared blog to see how we are doing in love, marriage and ministry.
